How To Increase Landing Page Conversions
Never blame the economic crisis if your website isn’t converting well. Dig, to the root and you will see landing pages are the problem. Using the toughest language with all the “secret stuffs” in a landing page will lead the consumer to leave the page, for with his short attention span, he can’t sort through the pop-ups, multiple focus points, talking heads and flashing pictures. Instead of blaming the market condition, let’s take a note from Alex Baldwin
1. What does really Matter is “Call to Actions”
Always have something special to offer your visitors and tell them what action you want them to take. “Fill out the form below to Run Faster, Jump Higher and get Hot Chicks” is not overkill.
2. Content is to Digestible
It is a fact that good content is a must but make sure if it can be scanned by any type of customer or just break it in to pieces.
3. Choice Has To Be Minimized
How will your visitors will never be able to figure it out if you can’t summarize the purpose of your landing page in 5 words, then. Give the ultimate choice to users, the conversion option.. You may be thinking, “but what if my visitor wants to read more.”. In fact, they don’t. They want to sign on the line which is dotted. Don’t prevent them from doing that.
4. Power of Simplicity
From my experience, the problem with incredible designers is they have all these skills to make landing pages walk, talk, move and blink. Leave all of that away and create simple pages that guide your eye to the SUBMIT button.
5. Have a minimum length for your form
Having a form with a hell lot of fields won’t do any good. Why should you bother “Which degree you like” if you don’t have any degree to offer?
Though the required information in the two forms below is virtually identical, which form do you think has a 10+% conversion rate?
6. DO NOT LISTEN What Market Speaks
It is a fact that most of the newspapers are written with a standard of 6th grade. Never use abstract terms, buzz words or marketing speak. Deliver directly in simple English
7. Instigate Trust
Convey credibility using logos like awards your company has won, professional association memberships and accreditations. Make sure that your users are convinced that they are using the best one. Have up dated copy and clean images.
